Master Romain Gavras..blows this shit out of the water.  Before anything, refix this shit and press mute.

Political discussions have a time and place in my opinion - but this, this is something different.

So man, where the hell do you even begin to describe the degree of absolute fucking brilliancy that is before our eyes?  I’m guessing, by saying thank fuck for masterminds like Romain Gavras and ironic as it sounds - this clip is so damn refreshing.

We’ve been swarmed, suffocated and seduced endlessly with the ideology that we can do or be anything we want to be, regardless of the fact that we live in, for the most part, a democratic world - or so we believe.  It’s sucks to say it, but these days the majority of music clips created, are fucking goats cheese.

And then BAM!  Romain strikes again - something shocking.  Don’t take that literally, because we all know too well he’s the king when it comes to that.

So I ask you - what. do. you. see?

I see everyday life in the 21st century.  This shit relates to what we are living through today.  Although maybe not directly, we are definitely indirectly affected. If you take the time to really sit back and watch this - you’ll see there are glimpses of every single fight for freedom we’ve heard or been a part of over the past decade, fuck it, make that 5 years.

We need to open our eyes and ears to what’s really changing and why.

Look - dissecting every bit of this mini-mockumentary isn’t necessary, that’s for you to do, for you to realise.  So I ask you one last time. What do you really see? I see Desire. Passion.  Camaraderie. Will.

I see Life.

Thank you Romain Gavras, once again, for the shock.

TED Talks are probably one of the best things to have happened to mankind since the birth of Youtube.  Yea big call - but I’ll stick by it.

The amount of knowledge and inspiration passing through presenters onto the audience around the globe is ecstatic.  The moto says it all: Ideas Worth Spreading.

What more can we want?  There are millions of people with ideas and millions of ideas worth spreading so it only makes to share them.

And THIS is an idea worth SPREADING by an artist worth sharing.  He goes by the initials of JR - having originally been a graffiti artist, turned photographer, turned humanitarian (and owns the largest art gallery in the world apparently) JR’s now set his mind on something so huge and commendable that only he should be the one explaining it to you.

In short, it’s called the Inside Out Project.

It’s been a long time since I’ve watched someone tell and explain their cause with so much passion purely for the betterment of people they don’t even know - and be able to say they are changing the World literally one person at a time with so much integration.

BIG UP JR.  Maximum Respect to you.

The Greaty Gatsby

Woopdeefuckingdo!  Seriously though - first thought and reaction is like: “Shit yes, a classic is back!”  Then you stop for a second and realise - what the fuck does that actually mean..woopdeefuckingdo…

There’s no point in bullshitting - fact is, most that haven’t yet turned into silver foxes or cougars deluxe wouldn’t even be able to tell you the author of this masterpiece, what it’s based on and why it’s considered an atomic bomb dropper of vocabulary technique for eternality.

Yet unfortunately - here we are, with barely a clue about the significance of it.  Which is a damn shame I say, a damn shame.  Ignorance may be fucking bliss - but I call bullshit on that.

We keep moving advancing into the future - creating, innovating, designing; busting out things we couldn’t even have imagined could exist.  But that’s exactly the problem, what ever happened to the appreciation of the past genius’ from where we’ve evolved?

But hey - on the upside, this recreation in itself looks as fine as a Mojito on a hot Cuban day by the beach with Buena Vista Social club performing right in front of you. The amalgamation of actors, cinematography, soundtrack and of course the Aussie director Baz Luhrmann to top it off.

Remember the days when smoking in clubs was allowed? What about buildings? Offices? Hell, we could even smoke on airplanes?

Tobacco companies were the largest, highest revenue generating corporations with a stronghold over the human health, and we as human beings simply turned a blind eye, and lit up another one.

It wasn’t until ex-Philip Morris Scientist, a man by the name of Victor DeNoble blew the whistle on not just Philip Morris but the Tobacco industry as a whole.  It was this time when the the world wok up to realise the fatal consequences of smoking.

Which is why Victor DeNoble should arguably named man of the 20th Century.

This is his takedown on Goliath.

Wow.  Rip Curl has absolutely killed it with this new clip ‘Mirage - The Full Experience’

Shot using 30 GoPro HD cameras whilst some of the best surfers including Mick Fanning, Matt Wilkinson and Dean Brady bust it out on some of the smoothest lines possible.

Other than the fact that they are all legends in their own right - they also rock the new Mirage boardshorts.  So yes, this is clip is to promote the ‘Mirage’ boardies.

An awesome clip for exactly the right vibe of the boardies.  Agreed - it works perfectly.

‘8 Hours in Brooklyn’. THE most UNIQUE skate-vid I’ve ever seen. By Next Level Pictures.

Shot in NYC with a Phantom Flex camera, this video is somethin different - much like the India Skateboard video I posted a couple of weeks ago - this takes into account the surrounding, the environment of where it was shot.

Skateboarding is a culture within each individual geographic culture, from NYC to Tokyo.

It’s emphasis on the surroundings gets you to appreciate where you are skating which ultimately means how you skate.
