As we change from channel to channel it seems that most of the time we are injected with scenes of hatred, violence and war.
For a long time now I’ve always wanted to see what the victims of these scenes would endure within the boundaries of physical side effects.
Claire Felicie has been able to do just that.  Claire is well known for her abilities to connect with whomever or whatever she is photographing..in this case, working with the 13th infantry company of the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps from 2009-2010.
The series is titled “Here are the Young Men (Marked)” and has an ultimately ominous effect and feeling of the constant battle of nations and societies for reasons that somehow seem to lie beyond the images and meanings that are pushed to us through the media.
It’s in their eyes.
